One of our largest meetings was held at the Ritz Carlton Lake Oconee July 20-22 with over 100 members in attendance. The Ritz is always a favorite place for our members to attend our scientific program and bring their families along to enjoy the spectacular facility, activities and food!
We started with our Friday night BBQ. We can always count on the Ritz for great service and great food. It’s great to connect with members and their families on the first evening of the meeting.

President Al Pesto introduced our Saturday morning speaker, Ed Adlesic, DMD who presented “Ambulatory Anesthesia Review for the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon” to a standing room only crowd.

We held our Business Session and heard reports on anesthesia, OMS Foundation, OMSPAC and our own organization. We welcomed new members: Drs. Stephanie Drew, John LaBanc, Jennifer Keyser, Terrance Bratton, Richard Hammond and Bradford Huffman.

Sunday’s session was by OMSNIC and on Patient Safety and Risk Management for the OMS. This risk management course is always important for our members and their office staff. Thank you Dr. Colin Bell and Ms. Suzanne Moy.
